Friday, October 2, 2009 - Is the deadline for the ACT workshop at Central Community College Columbus Campus. Workshop will be Saturday, October 10, 2009. Cost is $30.00
Wednesday, October 7, 2009 - The deadline for registering for Central Community College's Career Central Open House on Wednesday, October 14, 2009. The Open House is 4:30 P.M. - 7:30 P.M.

Tuesday, September 15, 2009 - University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) will host a Rural Health Professions Career Day. The cost is $10.00 per student and $5.00 per accompying adult or chaperone. The deadline for applying is Friday, September 5, 2009. Space is limited to 5 students per school and the first 300 students who register. Student/students must have a chaperone with them. Camps/Sessions/Programs/Workshops:
* Wednesday, August 26, 2009 - Northern Nebraska Area Health Education Center, Faith Regional Health Services and Boy Scouts of America have joined together again to offer the Medical Explorers Program. This program is designed to give students the best information about careers in healthcare professions through guided tours, guest speakers, discussions and various hands-on experiences. Parents are welcome to attend. This group meets every third Wednesday of the month from 7:00 - 8:30 P.M.. The cost is a one time charge of $20.00. The program is open students in grades 9-12 and they may join any time during the year. Students may go to their website nnahec.org to find out the next meeting date and topic.
* ACT Workshop Central Community College - Central Community College Columbus Campus will host an ACT workshop on Saturday, October 10, 2009 beginning at 8:30 and lasting until 12:30. Cost is $30.00 with a registration deadline of Friday, October 2, 2009
* Thursday, October 22, 2009 - Northeast Community College will be the site for Career Opportunities & Professions (COPS) Seminar. This seminar is for students interested in learning about a career in local, county, or state law enforcement. Hosting the seminar is the Nebraska Community College Criminal Justice Educator's Association. Cost is $15.00 before October 3rd and $20.00 after October 3rd. * Tuesday, December 1, 2009 - Financial Aid meeting for senior & junior parents. The meeting will be in the Howells Distance Learning Room beginning at 6:00 P.M.
* Midland Lutheran College - Scholarship Days Saturday, December 5, 2009 and Saturday, January 16, 2010. This day is for students that meet the scholarship criteria, that may be eligible to attend. Students may RSVP for these days online at www.mlc.edu.
*FAFSA Completion Days - Northeast Community College's Financial Aid Office will be providing one-on-one assistance in completing a student's FAFSA. Call for an appointment. Sites will be at Norfolk Campus-Financial Aid Office on Saturday February 6 and 20, 2010 9:00-1:00 and Thursday, February 18 & March 25, 2010 at the West Point Education Center 3:00-7:00 p.m.
* ACT Workshop Central Community College - Central Community College Columbus Campus will host an ACT workshop on Saturday, March 27, 2010 beginning at 8:30 and lasting until 12:30. Cost is $30.00 with a registration deadline of Monday, March 22, 2010.
