FCCLA Week Celebrated Feb. 8 - 12

The Howells FCCLA members observed National FCCLA Week February 8 - 12 at Howells High School with a variety of activities. Monday, Feb. 8 was "Pajama Day". On Tuesday, Feb. 9, the FCCLA Chapter served rolls and juice for students and staff members before school. FCCLA members wore their shirts on Wednesday, Feb. 10 and baked cookies for their annual Valentine's Sales after school. The chapter collected donations for Child Life, the state FCCLA project before school on Thursday, Feb. 11. FCCLA members also decorated cookies for their Valentine's Sales and delivered Valentine's treats for their adopted grandparents that day. "Hush Day" was the theme for Friday, Feb. 12. Amber Burenheide collected the most hush tags and received a prize for being "irresistible". Roses, Carnations and large decorated heart-shaped cookies were also delivered for Valentine's Sales.
The Howells FCCLA Officers are: District 5 Public Relations Chairperson - Marissa Litty, President - Carly Hegemann, Vice President - Heather Kampschnieder, Secretary - Jessica Bartling, Treasurer - Sidney Blum, Publicity Chairperson - Nicole Bayer, Historian - Ashley Bazata, Power of One Chairperson - Derek Coufal and Recreation Chairperson - Kourtney Janata. Other chapter members from Howells are Seniors: Clint Belina, Aaron Brodecky, Jeff Cushing, Sarah Fackler, Drew Faltys, Chelsea Krepel, Jacie Pokorny, Brian Prusa, Daine Taylor, Keithen Zrust. Junior members are: Brook Brester, Tyler Brester, Emily Chebuhar, Megan Chebuhar, Dillon Dostal, Janessa Evert, Denica Haase, Eric Meyer, Courtney Michael, Alex Pospisil, Cori Renner, Katee Rocheford, Sam Schlautman, Megan Svitak, Adam Vogel and Brenna Wragge. FCCLA members from the Sophomore class are: Brian Bayer, Jarrod Bazata, Mitch Belina, Jordan Brichacek, Amber Burenheide, Eric Coufal, Kaitlyn Janata, Trent Mastny, Annie Pospisil, and Cody Sellhorst. Freshman FCCLA members are Kayla Hegemann, Paige Indra, Haley Kampschnieder, Mitch Kampschnieder and Makenzie Polacek.
Officers of the Howells-Clarkson Chapter from Clarkson are: President - Beth Langdon, Vice President - Tara Herling, Secretary - Michelle Brabec, and News Reporter - Anthony Papousek.
