Howells High School Commencement Ceremony Held May 9

Thirty-one seniors received their diplomas at the Howells High School Commencement Ceremony on Friday, May 9 at 7:30 p.m. The processional,
"Pomp and Circumstance" was played by the Howells High Band under the direction of Mr. Rex Laughlin. The introduction was given by Nicole Ortmeier, class vice-president. Principal Dan Martin introduced Kyle Brandyberry who gave the Salutatorian's address. Valedictorian Eric
Burenheide gave his address following an introduction by Superintendent Tom Reeser.

Scholarships were presented by Robin Groene, Guidance Counselor. The seniors paid tribute to their parents and gave them a rose. The senior class video created by Christie
Zrust was shown. Diplomas were presented by Mr. Ron Burenheide, Howells School Board President. Closing remarks were given by Keith Cech, class president. 2008 graduates were: Christopher J. Bartling,

Laura A. Krueger, Nicole M. Ortmeier, Jeffrey D. Pokorny, Josie L. Poulsen, Jessica M. Scheef, Jessica E. Schueth, Micky L. Schumacher,
Rachel L. Tichota, Amanda J. Tomka, Samuel J. Vacha, Jennifer M. Vernoy, Sara J. Vogel, Andrea I. Wetovick, Jeremy T. Wiese, Christie
L. Zrust. The class colors were White and North Carolina Blue.
The class song was "Back Where I Come From" By Kenny Chesney. The class motto was "Never Give Up, Never Give In, We'll All Stand Tall Until The End."
