The Community Character Development Coalition (CCDC) will be at Howells Public School on Monday, March 31 at 7:00 PM to present to parents. CCDC is an organization of young adults who go out to schools and talk to junior high and high school students about making good decisions in relation to drugs, alcohol, sex, and other potentially dangerous behaviors. They have presented to the Howells 7-12 graders a total of five times during the past two school years and have been very well-received. Because the presenters are local teens and young adults who are only a bit older than our students, the programs have a credibility unmatched by any adults. CCDC has also presented to Wednesday night CCD classes in Howells where they have been well-received as well.
On Monday night in the Commons Area of Howells High School, CCDC would like to present to our students' parents. The presentation will last around an hour and will cover issues of sexual activity, alcohol use, and the challenges that students face today. They also offer tips on how to understand, connect, and communicate with your teen. Hope to see everyone here at school on March 31.
