1st & 2nd Graders Welcome a Visitor
Susan Hansen Discusses Nutrition

The first and second grade class has welcomed a visitor this month.. Susan Hansen is the Extension Educator for the Colfax County Program. She is making six stops to the classroom to teach the students about nutrition and food safety. Her visits will continue through the month of April.
In the first visit, the class has learned about the importance of washing their hands and how to do it effectively. Now students are learning about the food groups that are on "My Pyramid".
The class has completed activities for the grain group as well
as vegetables. They will continue to learn about fruits, dairy and
the meat group.
